My First Experience At KCON LA 2017!

My First Experience At KCON LA 2017!

Hello everyone! I wanted to share my first experience I had at KCON, which was in the city of Angles! Back in August, I had packed up my bags and headed to Los Angeles for the first time for KCON. My first time in a long time, flying across the states. I haven’t been to California since I was a baby and it was very exciting! Although it was only for three days, I still had a lot of fun!

What is KCON?

Some of you may or may not know what KCON is. KCON is a Korean convention that’s been going on every year since the summer of 2012. It’s a three-day convention and two-night concert. It’s a convention that is dedicated to bringing “All Things Hallyu” to the American fan base and fans all around the world. From Korean beauty to Korean food this is a place to be. I won’t be going into too much detail about KCON but if you like to know more information, do visit their website at kconuse.com.

How I Spent My Three Days

My sisters and I spent our Friday all day at the convention until it closed. After the convention, we stopped by Target to get a few things. Then, we went to grabbed dinner at a Japanese restaurant called Yuko Kitchen. It was about a 14-minute walk to the Urban Light which is part of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

On Saturday, my sisters and I did a little exploring in Little Tokyo during the day and then went to the Staple Center to watch the first night of the concert. I did record one performances, from each group and soloist. I didn’t want to be that person that watches the concert through the camera throughout the whole concert. I did put the camera away and enjoyed the rest of the concert. I did vlog my experience at KCON and separated the vlog into three parts. You can watch the first part of the vlog here.

Sunday was the last day of KCON and we spent all the day at the convention. My sisters and I were mostly apart from each other. As we were trying to go to different panels, artistes engagement, and shop around. There were so many things do but I felt like it was draining me. After walking around my sisters and I met up by the exit doors and walk over to the Staple Center to wait in line to go watch the final concert for KCON. Overall, it was a new, fun, and crazy experience and I’m glad that I got to experience it!

Mainly for this post, I wanted to share some of the photos I took while I was at Kcon. In a future video, I will do a video guide to Kcon on my experience on buying tickets, how to read the benefits, and etc. I don’t how many parts I will have to the video guide but I will have a post about it on here when the video goes up.

Thank you reading!
